Make-Up Routines;
It is important to Cleanse and Moisturise your skin everyday, even before applying make-up. A good routine for make-up would be;
- Cleanse
- Tone
- Moisturise
- Before the moisturiser completely dries, put on mineral concealer on spots and under eyes (to cover up dark circles etc.)
- Then when the moisturiser is completely dry, put on foundation with a brush
- Then apply blusher (please make sure this goes with your natural skin colour, there is nothing worse than a girl who is quite pale wearing the darkest blush/foundation)
- Then finishing powder to make it set and stay well.
- Then any eyeshadow/lipgloss.
You can buy cheap Cleanser, Toner and Moisturiser from Boots. They have reasonably priced 'boots essentials' Cleanser, Toner and Moisturiser in several different types. I use Boots Essentials Cucumber (I know, it sounds odd, but it is actually very good ;D) *Cleanser, Toner and Moisturiser.
*Unfortunately, I couldn't find the Cucumber Cleansing Lotion on the Boots website; but I did find Boots Essentials Fragrance-Free Cleansing Lotion, which is pretty much the same thing. ;)
Foundations and Concealers;
Before I talk about any foundations, I just want to say about what foundation is used for and stuff. I say this because, at my school, the girls pile on foundation to hide spots so they end up looking like shiny, lumpy wotsits. Ew.

A foundation is used to even out your skin, and give slight coverage.
Mineral foundations are best for your skin because they give natural looking coverage. This also applies to concealer. If you have oily or greasy skin, it's best to look for foundations without oil in them.
Concealers are very good with covering up redness and dark circles.
Facial Washes and Spot Creams;

That is only for 25g, so it is a bit of a hefty price tag, however; it really does work. The only thing you must remember about it is that when you are going out during the day and you put it on, don't put too much on because otherwise the freederm will dry and become white, and it looks sort of like dead skin. You can put a lot on when you go to bed, but not when you are about to go out ;)
